Praise all you want but the rumours are all over other forums, Facebook and Twitter, I've had texts about it from fans and it's being talked about in pubs but as long as it's not on here job done eh. FFS.
They wa on FB during game,i got home and one wa posted DURING the game from a ROTHERHAM fan, and apparently it wa on radio, dont wanna post quote though after what my other post caused
I wasn't having a go at you Tyke1. I think the rumours are on a very unsavoury subject but the post that was deleted gave some very angry reactions and showed that the vast majority of BFC fans think that the rumours, if true, are disgusting. Now it just looks like we're in denial. Personally I think removing the post does more harm than leaving it up.
Until something is proven. If true i hope it is dealt with be it 1 individual or a group of them. I am praising them for trying to difuse the situation until all the facts are gathered.
I disagree. Mark Stokes has commented on facebook saying the clubs and the player Billy Sharp heard none of these reported chants. Some fans from other clubs unsurprisingly Donny Sheff Utd and Wednesday are coming on slating Barnsley Football Club. Mark Stokes has said if anyone has evidence to provethese chants took place then obviously the club will act upon it.
But what that post showed was that every single person on here was disgusted by the chant if the rumour was true. It's a discussion forum, not a court of law, so we can speculate. As I said it's on other forums and sites but strangely absent on the main BFC forum.
But that's another matter completely, if it can be proven then the club should quite rightly issue banning orders or whatever punishment they deem appropriate and I would whole-heartedly support that. Far from tarring us all with the same brush I thought the comments in the thread showed we are a decent set of fans who would distance themselves from such disgusting chanting. Anyway it's gone now so we move on.
Still no one has any factual evidence to back up the rumours. If you do have i suggest you contact the police and/or both football clubs.
