    for christs sake or will do. it is the one thing that realy really really riles me.

    See, a good rant does you good.

    A photographer went to a haunted castle determined to get a picture of a ghost which was said to appear only once in a hundred years.
    Not wanting to frighten off the ghost, the photographer sat in the dark until midnight when the apparition became visible.
    The ghost turned out to be friendly and consented to pose for one snapshot. The happy photographer carefully composed the shot then took the picture.
    He headed straight-way to his studio to develop the film. After some anxious waiting for the processing to finish, he looked at the negative and groaned. It was underexposed and completely blank.
    Moral of the story: The spirit was willing, but the flash was weak...

    then point taken.  But when I got my first PM here it was days before I spotted that the tiny &quot;<span class="smalltext">There are 0 new messages in your inbox&quot; had changed to a 1!

    I think it's fair game to alert people in certain circumstances - I needed to speak to Another Bubble tonight and had no other way to contact him other than PM here.

    Note to CityTyke - is it possible in MegaBBS to get an onscreen prompt to alert you when you have a new PM when you log on?

    In the control panel you can opt to receive email alerts when you have new PM's :)

    Hey! That's a good idea. We will get it set up to send a PM when you have email telling you have another PM then we will email you to tell you have a PM telling you to check your mail. Great idea!!
