56 he got down to 45 and the sub which was 30 seconds. Both MH and the MOTD2 people missed the time wasteing that went on before the free kick which was at least 30 seconds extra.

I must be looking at the wrong pic. I presume now that he is meaning a pic on the signature (I have them turned off).

You are all missing the point here,

when a assistant referee puts the board up, it is a minimum guide line as to how much time the referee believes should be added at the end of the game and not a maximum, so Mark Hughes cant have any complaints really.

    You're right

Tommy Taylor is the avatar, David Preece the signature.

RE: You are all missing the point here,

Hughes is nearly as big a whinger as Fergie. It looked about right to me, the time added on. 4 mins minimum + a goal scored + a sub made. 95-6 sounds about right. Rather than blaming the officials he should be working on his team, they are to blame for not hanging on.

If, as you say, they "bung refs"

then wouldn't it have been easy enough for him to adjudge that Tevez kicked the ball out of Foster's hands for the first equaliser? (He didn't, but the ref could have interpretated it as such)

It's about the psychology of being a referee

    Referees.

They are small people who want to be important. Like traffic wardens.

When they get to this level everyone around them is a millionaire.

Famous people like Sir Alex Ferguson talk nicely to them.

When they get things wrong influential people like Sir Alex Ferguson speak strongly to your boss.

As a small person living a glamorous lifestyle you don't want to upset them. Your whole life evolves around these small moments of glory amongst the genuinely rich and famous. You do not want to put this in any way at risk. More so - your boss, has also told you not to screw it up for him by upsetting the influential Sir Alex Ferguson.

So whilst Mr. Ferguson is laughing and joking with the fourth official you are safe in your dream land as a celebrity.

Rotten to the core it is. But I doubt very much with brown envelopes.
