International football is mind-numbing at the best of times. Club football needs to hurry up and return.

    I don't think I've ever brought 1966 up in a conversation...

It's been a really good tournament to watch.

Loved every minute of it apart from the England games.

Really looking forward to Wales vs Portugal tonight.

    So much hatred!
Maybe you should try and relax a bit before you really blow a gasket.

I think the only people who can't have enjoyed this tournament are the ones who haven't actually sat down and watched the games.

The passion and quality shown from the majority of teams has been unbelievable.

I do think it's helped that our super reds gave us such a good season. After Wembley I was really looking forward to watching the euros with a relaxed attitude. Had we lost I might not have had the same interest.

But it hasn't been mind numbing at all.

Ive seen a fair few matches. Most of them tedious. With a few decent ones in between. But to be fair if there was no international football would not miss it one bit.

Definitely. A lot of folk just slag things off for the sake of it - at least it seems that way to me.

Agree on all points. France have been lovely to watch. The passion from Wales allied with a lot of skill reminds me of how we played at the end of last season.

As John says a lot of people just slagging things off for the sake of it.

Here we go... In your opinion, which doesn't make it a fact.

But if you're a football fan and you've actually sat and watched the matches you cant have found them mind numbing. They've been great games of football. Any football fan could see that.

If you do find them mind numbing I guess you wont have watched them anyway. In which case you cant really give an opinion on this particular tournament.

So I can't watch the games and hold the opinion I do? Bizarre. There's been plenty of crap games in this tournament.

Some of the knockout games have been a bit cagey I agree (mostly involving Portugal, who apart from the Hungary match have been excruciating to watch), but the good has definitely outweighed the bad, in my very humble opinion.

Apart from watching Iceland, and of course the 3-3 game, I'm struggling to think of many others that have had me absolutely glued to the screen.

Wales v Belgium was an absolute humdinger for starters. France v Ireland was excellent. Northern Ireland v Ukraine. Croatia v Spain. And stacks of decisive late goals. Plenty of excitement for me. Maybe I'm just easily pleased?!
