Looking through the posts from yesterday there's a fair few comments about what a terrible week he's had. But to my knowledge we just boo'ed the team against Southampton for a lack of ideas and effort, and then boo'ed less against Boro for the same reasons. What exactly has this man had to endure that any normal manager doesn't go through after two shocking performances (ignoring the defeat to Morecambe!)?
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee i'm not sure he was talking about football,
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee He dared to question the booing and negative atmophere at Oakwell and it promted loads of calls to radio dee dar calling for his head. And loads of moaning on here. He clearly listens to to radio and reads this site and is not a happy bunny
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee I don't think he's necessarily on about the football side of his life, he's just welcomed a new baby into his life and im sure he's finding it difficult to get the right balance between his home life and his JOB, because that's what it is after all, a JOB. I bet the bloke is absoloutley shattered! And yes i don't think the negativity from his fans are helping to be honest, its just adding extra un needed pressure.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee Would you mind his pay to listen to a few boo's and a bit of aggro from a minority on a footy forum? I think sometimes he forgets he's in a job many dream of.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee Id hate the Barnsley Managers job!!! no money to spend and arseholes expecting us to be Premier League winners every season and winning the Champions League!!!
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee The booing is totally negative, lack of ideas perhaps against 2 very good sides...but no lack of effort,if Keith Hill turns out to be a good manager he'll put things right..I think the championship quality has surprised him..although I thought Southampton were just exceptional, despite only the one goal difference, but with a couple of additions I think we have a squad to stay up. The booing is b******s IMO and will gain nothing apart from p*****g the players and management off, whats needed is for everybody to support the team in difficult financial times, and if you think the team or management are crap....at least keep the boos to yourself and try and express constructive criticism rather than playground childishness.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee people have questioned is professionalism. people questioned is ability to mange. people questioned is ability to pick the right players. and people called for is head. they deserve everything they get from mr hill.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee Who exactly forces a manager to view internet forums?
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee But thats only a vocal minority of fans Hemsy - The majority ( at least I think it is) whilst unhappy with the last 3 home performances are fully aware it takes time to change a football team and are not even close to questioning his ability to manage or calling for his head. The 200 or so that were at Reading were fully behind the team I'd rather Hill didnt take the comments of the vocal minority and treat all the fans as if we are all the same. I can see why he might be a bit unhappy but thats what happens in football its not fair but then neither are a lot of things and I dont like the way he responded yesterday
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee no one their human, would you read a forum if it said you were sh;t at your job?
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee I doubt he does
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee I would imagine he's getting his feed back from the fans in the ground and callers to Radio De Da. I listened to Hill pre-match on De Da and to be honest I couldn't believe what I was hearing from the man. He sounded like someone who was on the brink of losing his job and was despirately trying to justify keeping it. I don't have to like or not like the manager that just doesn't matter to me but I'm not keen on a manager who can't keep his mouth shut and let the players answer the fans on the pitch. Hill will only get more criticism if he keeps having a go at the fans.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee This is what I have an issue with, I dont have a problem with the booing although I do think it's started too early. No what I have a problem with is the tools giving out personal insults, questionning his ability and calling for his head after three games. They are the problem at the minute not Keith Hill.
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee With his wife having a child during the week, the team playing badly in prior games, it is understandable that his emotions would be raw. We really need to cut the guy some slack. Let's see how he gets on over the next couple of months
Re: Can someone bring me up to speed here, what has Keith Hill had to endure this wee It strikes me that some turn up demanding entertainment as if it's a football version of a 'Britain's Got Talent' audition. "These lot are ****...BOOOO BOOOOO BOOOOOO!!!!"
The unjustified sense of entitlement that some reds fans seem to have. And he's not responded in exactly the way that some other people would have. The swine. Then some Hill haters have tried to hide their embarrassement by bizarrely having a go at a few fans who'd criticised Luke Steele. Weird. First we complained that we hadn't scored a goal. Then we'd notched but it was an own goal so we complained. Now we have actually scored I've seen comments complaining that it wasn't one of the strikers (not on here btw) Hill's quite obviously going to polarise opinion it seem - those who don't like him (4 league games into his tenure....) seem to be emotionally brittle. Whatever my opinion of Keith Hill, it's not half as low as it is of some reds fans.
Re: The unjustified sense of entitlement that some reds fans seem to have. `Hill haters' I think thas got too much tar on that brush lad if thar including me in that. In the thread you refer to I stated some of those that claim Hill shouldn`t be criticised are quite happy to criticise Luke Steele, and other players as well, surely thats having double standards.
