You know? This not buying a player lark?

So long as it's not mine, that'll do for me.

reports earlier say GS and PC have put forward some names but AR refuses to sign them
    One being Shipperley
If it goes tits up I can see GS getting the blame but this could easily be the wrong target

    Loans

Its one thing bringing loan players in to see how they cope e.g. Newcastle
Its another relying on loan players to keep a club in exsistance e.g. Wendy, Barnsley

    I like the idea.

A two or three year contract is only and extended loan. Let the big clubs splash the cash and we'll provide first team football for the up and comers. I don't see anything wrong with a couple of quality prem squad players on 12 month deals.

We'll be reight mate. It's good business from where we're standing.

Why would GS and PC be suggesting players?

It's got **** all to do with them.

I dislike, no make that hate, the idea of relying on loan players to make up a decent squad….it's a fair enough system for filling in for injuries from time to time but not for building a basic squad of players.

We have a basic squad of players....

playing the best football we've seen for ages, we don't need any last minute over-priced over-rated tossers takin the piss, have faith, imho, we have more than enough quality to stay up!

For me bugger all wrong with loan signings, if they improve the squad for 6-12 months then so be it.... Better than throwing a full wage at them for 2-3 years!!!!

If AR is saying NO to lists of players provided by AR and PC then.................. TOP MAN. Bugger all to do with those two, especially PC. End of day he is just a fan whos helped the club out.

Come to think of it though, I'll phone switchboard at 9 and have a few words with GS, see if he can recommend a few of mine.

What evidence to suggest GS and PC suggesting players? More pub talk!

Again people jump on the bandwagon.

We dont know. It was said on Radio Sheff.
However, agents may phone the chairman or manager and they discuss targets.

Nothing wrong in my view with suggesting players, they are all in it together to try and improve the performance of the club on and off the field.

If the chairman got a call from another chairman or an agent saying such and such was available and he asked the manager if he was interested in that player what is wrong with that?

Sorry I didnt feckin put it in better words. I know he did more, but in basic words 'he helped the club out'................ No matter how fancy you put it, HE HELPED THE CLUB OUT.... He should have no say in what players come to this club, if he does then what is the point in a management team!!??
