Ive read today that an 18 year old girl was stabbed to death and then sexually abused. I've also read many news worthy stories of how bad this world is just becoming. Today on here, Liverpool tickets is all thats mentioned, and to be honest I couldn't care two iotas on who got tickets or who didnt get them, why they didnt get them and whos to blame for it other than themselves. Just be happy you've got air in your lungs and a beating heart. If all you have to moan about is not getting tickets for a game hosted in a sh*thole of a place your not doing half bad. To the hand full of people who say they won't buy a ST again. Lets say 50 people who wont. Do you really think PC/GS and Barnsley Football club give two sh*ts about your 300 quid. Not a damn - the money from 50 people won't pay Anderson's wages for a fortnight. In fact they'd be happy for the less grief caused, the immature emails sent and down right doom and gloom you cause. Rant Over.
Thats right lets have no more discussion on the ticket fiasco lets discuss murder and sexual abuse (doh)
Agreed Durker.... ... I mean what are we thinking about airing views about Barnsley Fc on a site named 'BarnsleyFC.org'</p> I've edited the post because I've read Dark Tykes and East standers post and mine no longer seems apprpriate</p>
"Ive read today that an 18 year old girl was stabbed to death and then sexually abused" I take it she managed to get hold of a ticket for Liverpool then?
RE: Agreed Durker.... Everybody has had or will have personal tragedy in their lives and you can understand at those times why anything is trivial in comparison but at the end of the day the one thing people have in common in this place is BFC, fan or not
What an absolutely dire post. We would all acknowledge the fact that football cannot be considered as important as human life, but there's no logic in highlighting such a tragedy and concluding that there is no place for debate over the Liverpool tickets thing (and on a Barnsley FC message board, of all places, ffs) - it's a completely meritless argument. Obviously everything pales into comparison when compared with something clearly more serious, and there's always something more serious. By your logic nothing at all matters whilstever there's a war in Afghanistan and hunger in Africa. I daresay you are right that GS & PC won't miss the odd Season Ticket renewal, but you seem to be triumphantly proclaiming this as if it were a good thing. Although we still have plenty to be grateful for footballwise, I still think people have a right to question why the club has shafted its season ticket holders this week, and it would be nice to think the club, and indeed the rest of us would 'give two sh*ts' at the thought of lifelong fans giving up their season tickets. I know that matters to me.
That's really cheered me up I'm happy that I wasn't tortured this morning, had my teeth and eyes ripped out and a red hot poker shoved up my anus. Got to be grateful! It's called anger and frustration not whingeing. People are rightly angered and frustrated. What you are doing is in fact whingeing.
Of course we all realise that there are far worse things going on in the world than the ticket allocation for a football match. But this is a BFC message board, yes we debate other things on here even non-football related and I like that about this site, but if people are disgruntled about ticket allocation for a Barnsley match then this seems a reasonable place for them to sound off about it. It's probably all the immigrants who snapped up the tickets anyway!
