Can you remember when we had a football team with some class players in. When Robins got Shackell, Trippier, etc. when we were always up for it. Then can you remember the Rochdale duo coming. Got shut of most of our team and brought all the lower league possibles in. Not all failures but high percentage are. So they set the seeds and we are now playing with the results. Danny is not a miracle worker, he has what he has. Must be a hard job turning up to take training and having to bite his lip and smile. Hope we can get some more faces in and hope he can turn it round. We are as bad as it gets at present and I think enough is enough.
The question is will Danny be given what Robins had (or more) or what Hill/Flitcroft had? Remember Robins left as he felt the budget going forward was untenable. We have done miracles to stay up last two seasons with what seems to be a less than Championship level budget. I feel our luck has ran out though. We either accept that we cant afford to stay in the division or we invest. Perhaps too late this season. No middle ground, we used our luck tokens up already. We are now at a cross roads. Anyone who thinks life in D1 will be a success also better think again.
Not this season he won't. Flicker $punked it all away i'm afraid. If we go down, he'll have even less to work with.
