Why on earth were people applauding Austin off the pitch when he was sent off yesterday for such a stupid action, the same fans ridicule Conlon for being the perfect target man and not giving up, we know he is not a proven goalscorer. On the same note it seems every week there seems to be huggings of ex reds banging in every week, Betsy, Bullock, Onibuje, Fallon.

Probably because, like me, many people did not actually see Austin do anything (from the vantage point in the East Stand) all we saw was there player go in with the elbow.

Surely the perfect man does all that Conlon does, but is faster and scores goals too..

who do you want for goodness sake, we are in League 1, so lets see a player who holds the ball, is fast and scores goals, you dont get many of those at this level. Conlon's effort level was top notch yesterday.

    call me old fashioned

but i likea front man that plays up front. i leave the holding role in midfield to the holding midfield player. we had two of those in burns and kay yesterday we didnt need our striker to sit behind the midfield and do the job too. if he is in the team to do that then fine play him in the midfield. if he is in the team to play as a striker then drop him to the reserves because he isnt good enough to play professional football.
