At least ... it's only a friendly.... Imagine how gutted I was when my cousin picked Wednesday away as the date to get married in Worsboro .... (we live in Sheff) , and so I had to travel in the opposite direction as the Reds fans were pouring into my village, and to top it, my hubby is an Owl, and we didn't get the result until some squirt of a barman sauntered in from the game, saying the Reds outclassed 'em etc. The wedding reception was so close to Hillsborough you could hear the crowd, but no chance of a signal on mobile. Possibly the most frustrating day of my life.
RE: At least that's the only consolation, cup or league game though and i couldnt see me going to the wedding, only time ive ever been in Barnsley on a match day and not gone was my cousin (and he,s a season ticket holder) wedding, 1-1 v Boro :'(
