He was bloody anonomous all the game, should have been the one to go off for Howard.
Could someone who voted for him tell me what contribution he made to the game.
I thought Burns had a dreadful game but at least that was because he had the ball to have a poor game.

Mind you, what do I know, thought Richards should have gone off for Wright instead of bringing Nardiello on for Hayes.

    MOTM was a tough call

They were without exception feckin useless.
Carbon was the only one I could think of who didn't make at least one very basic, glaring error. So I voted for him.

I wouldnt say he was the worst player or anomonous

but he wasnt reet good however It seems Devaney only has to put his toe on the pitch to win MotM at the ground. its like with shuker it used to be - "when every ones **** give it shukes!"

Thought he was awful - first 5 mins he made 2 mistakes, didn't seem in it. However, at least he had the ball to **** up unlike McPhail who I thought was anonomous.

Devaney just shaded Carbon and Reid for MotM for me. And that took some choosing - not saying Devaney had a great game but he always is looking to create something and was taking players on.

I think it's because Devaney (or Shuker for that matter) doesn't shy away from the game, he's looking to create something and wants to get involved.

Hassell MOM and next Carbon then McPhail for me. One of McPhail's better performances in a Barnsley shirt

Mcphail mom for me too. We had a midfield today - instead of Burns running around and not getting the ball

    Burns works hard, but

his first touch is abysmal, and he NEVER looks up when under presure, just hoofs and hopes, I wouldnt be without him for his effortless workrate but I wish he would as they say "keep his foot on the ball" a bit more.

I haven't voted yet but when I do it will be for McPhail. He did most of what was good for the Reds today (which wasn't all that much). Good control, mostly simple effective passing and was particularly impressive when we went two up! He calmed things down in a way that we miss when he isn't there.

    Awful.

McPhail seized the game in the second half and was the only one who looked like he wanted the ball.

He always knows where his nearst man is.

He showed a willingness and a fight.

As for Burns, what would we do without him?

We, all sitting in the Ponte, wondered at how many attacks he muscled in on and how many attacks he broke up.

Both of 'em head and shoulders above the 'favourites ' today

    I agree Tina.

Also another good game by Ozzie who for me is fast becoming our most consistent performer. When Heckinbottom is back it'll be a tough decision between Ozzie, Hassell and Heck. I also thought Hassell had one of his best days as Barnsleys Fullback where inormally have my doubts.

I thought McPhail had a good game today. Use the ball quite intelligently and brought others into the game around him.

Well, I am one of the few Reds who have liked and rated Hassell from the start.

I always feel more comfortable when I know he is in the team.

A cracking goal from him today - real blazer.
