I had a bit of a rant last night about it but what are other people's thoughts on what appeared to be out lowest gate in this league for over a decade

It was the sort of night you would have let the dog stay in and crap on your carpets.

Give it time to settle in. They've announced that the price will stay the same, let's see what the attendances are like in a couple of weeks with some Saturday games.

Remember you saying something on Saturday about it being last day before pay day and the ticket was only a tenner and probably a tenner in petrol to get to Hull. No different to last night.

    It was.

don't think the pricing can be judged by last night alone.

Mny people can't make tuesday night games because of work and other commitment, others can't be arse.d when its a wet and windy tuesday night game against millwall.

Aa few more results and I think crowds will be picking up a bit.

People will have to start using a different excuse now.

People will only come back, when/if we're ever competing in the right end of the division. And even then, it's not guaranteed. I've just been looking at the attendances from our 96/97 season, and we had a similar crowd last night for a Saturday afternoon game with Southend, and iirc, we were 2nd in the table at the time.

Tuesday night game, a few days before people get paid after a long December and January. It's not surprising.

I empathise with the pay day scenario. Next four Saturdays we are away too so will be a while before we gauge how many turn up regularly on a weekend. Max 4 Saturday home games left plus Easter Monday.

    I guessed beforehand at 7820.

It's what I expected and it doesn't take someone with a bit of sense to see why. The ticket prices coming down is the first step. The team starting to win again is the second. A run of good results over the next few weeks could see us tip over the 10,000 for the Wolves game, in what could be a big, big match.

It is NOT "a score". It was £23. Not much difference but you have to go to the ground at least a hour and half before kick off to get that £3 discount which would probably cost you that in time/juice anyway

I thought it was already said before the game not to judge it on last nights crowd, like a few said lets see after a couple of Saturday games. l drove past Oakwell about 15 mins into the game on my way back from Donny train station and thought a free ticket wouldn't have got me out last night. Pity because l missed a cracking second half.

I'll certainly be making the effort for the remaining Saturday games.

Club can't afford to go for it at those prices, too risky. £20 is the lowest they can go and fair play to them for doing it for the rest of the season.

Bit tiresome that attitude now, l'll come back to you once we've had a few Saturday games with some stats, comparing the home support before and after the price reduction.

We'll have a much better picture then but to just slag off the missing supporters with the same old "they'll be out for the big cup game etc etc..." As previosuly posted they din't come out for a big cup game, We only sold 13,000 tickets at home to Man Utd.

I threaded last night about our support. It was disappointing 7800 to say the least. Some lads cannot afford it and I accept that, but some are making excuses. It was a bad night but we have turned up on a lot worse, -10 brings to mind. The team are playing their hearts out for our survival, the least we can do is support them. You could give the tickets away and some will still be moaners and fireside supporters. If we beat MKDons and draw ManUtd watch all the absentees be taking the seats the faithful 8000 have kept warm for them.

just my opinion i really hope the £23 takes off but its still nearly £50 if there's 2 games in a week and thats just for 1 attending
