He was the No1 keeper in the unber 21's for a far few years and is rumoured to be up for a transfer to a bigger club in the summer

so he should be chosen with keepers such as James, Green, Carson, Kirkland, Foster etc

i'm not saying that justifies it but its only a freindly so he might be wanting to try out new options and he will more than likely spend the whole time on the bench, cappelo probably just wants to get to know him in training and see how he compairs to those he watches play week in week out in the prem

You haven't seen him play, so how can you judge him or his potential?

Why do you have a problem with this?

How many times has the 4th choice keeper actually needed to play?

Well done to Capello I say, brave decision, and if this lad has the potential people are saying he does he'll gain loads from this invaluable experience and training with the best players in the country.

Nice to see that the England managerial set-up are aware of the players outside the top division. He does look a good keeper too. Wont be at Posh for long if he carries on performing.

Big money purchase for the division and

with all the foreign players taking up the Premiership positions then that's what is going to happen. Frazer Campbell wins promotion to the Prem with Hull but can't get a game at Man Utd, shows that good prospects can't get the Prem experience because their paths are blocked at their their own clubs.

They spent a lot of money on him that clubs in higher

divisions wouldn't take a risk for. Clubs bought the likes of Heinz Muller as they were cheaper and more experienced. All credit to them for taking the gamble, his values probably gone up 5 fold in the year they've had him.

Joe Lewis is a brilliant young keeper, he was at Morecambe for 1/2 this season

on loan from Norwich, sold to Posh for 400k in january, he is a superb talent, best young keeper ive seen (Dave watson was second best), he will undoubtedly go far in the game, this will be a fantastic opportunity for him to get a feel for the international set up and train with some world class players, i doubt he would get a GAME, OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEAGUE 2 AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL BUT ONE DAY HE WILL BE eNGLANDS NUMBER ONE, HE WAS THE MAIN REASON WHY mORECAMBE HAD SUCH A BRILLIANT FIRST HALF TO THE SEASON oops, cap lock :D

to be fair, how can he be any worse than anyone else in the england squad, give the lad a chance it could be the best risk england have ever taken.

Its freshing to see Capello go for a new face and hopefully upst some of the current england set up who think they have a god given right to get an England cap.
The current england team has far far too many over rated over paid and believing in their own hype prima donnas.
