That is a game which Butland is looking forward to, after spending three valuable months on loan at Oakwell back in 2013. "I’ve been fortunate enough to play in a lot of games up to this stage in my career, whether that’s playing for the club where I’ve been or going out on loan,” he added, reflecting on his spell helping the Tykes battle against relegation from the Championship. "It’s important as a keeper that you get games and it was an extremely good experience for me at Barnsley. "As bad as it was in terms of results that year, it was tough mentally and that made me stronger and it also meant I was able to get a lot of work and was able to express myself. "So it played a massive part in my development, along with my other loan spells. "I thoroughly enjoyed my time there with the players and the fans were fantastic and very supportive towards me. "It will be great to go back and put on a good show for them."
