Who do you think should be captain of the reds this season? I dont think it should be Vaughn due to his inconsistant performances and he doesnt seem like a leader. We need someone who can command the team and really get them going just like Redfern did when he as here. I think the captain shud be someone from midfield as they are in the thick of things and can really get a grip of the game and control how the game goes, but thats just my opinion. What does everyone else think? Who shud be the captain pf the reds? and why?

Surely Robbie's a better bet than folk like Nardi and Jarman?!

Ah ok mate, but I still think Robbie would be far higher up the list than Nardiello (young, a striker and only recently signed), Hayes (ditto) and Kell (only recently signed and injured for first couple of months).

It's all a matter of opinion like.

He wouldn't be my first choice...

    But in his favour are:

    • He's been at Barnsley for years after coming through the academy.
    • He's a defender.
    • He is tough, gets stuck in and is proud to play for Barnsley it would seem, unlike some of them.
    • He may well have captained the reserves before as you said.
    • As long as he stays fit (admittedly a big if) and barring awful form he'll start most games, if not all.

That's more than most of them lot have.
