Who would you pick, mine would be Perkins,
But would rather have all the team as captain together as one

I'm sure that during the contract 'controversy' Flicker was quoted as saying that if Luke Steele stayed he would be captain.

Can never see the point of having a keeper as a captain tho, ad prefer a outfield player as they cover most parts of the pitch

Would want it to be Cranie, but I reckon it'll be Steele.

It's a pointless title in football, all the do is shake hands and call heads or tails. Its not like in cricket when the captain is a very important job so in all honesty it could be anyone in the team. Personally I like to see somebody vocal who shouts and motivates but thats where the criteria ends.

Definitely Luke Steele. Best keeper in The Championship, he deserves it

Think a the role of captain is very important to a club. For the team and the supporters. For the team he's the leader, the motivation and the lynchpin. For the supporters he's the player they think of as 'this guy's the man to drive us forward'. He also gives the club some of it's image.

    Redfearn/Howard/Beckenbauer/Moore.

I don't believe in this '11 captains' stuff. We need someone on the field who can put fire in our bellies and inspire the others. Stevie Dawson would be my choice if I was manager.

It would have to be bobby hassell for me. He's experienced, professional, has got a good temperament, has proven time and time again how well he can read a game, he never gives up and more importantly he is still the best right back and best centre back at the club so should be playing regularly enough to warrant the captaincy

Hassell won't be playing so much in future so it will need to be someone with longevity in terms of games. I agree with the statement about someone who will drive the team on. Person also needs to be widely respected amongst the players. Am not totally sure who would fit the bill but perhaps Cranie could be the man.

Pointless thread. I already decided it was Wisey weeks ago. Keep up, people.
    .
But seriously, I'd want Bobby as captain and starting games when fit. But there's more chance of me winning the lottery.
So I hope it's Wisey, but think it'll be Steele again.
