Car Crime - A reminder to you all ! (Please Read)

Morning All !

Just a quick reminder to you all to keep an eye on your car stereos.
Last night, five cars (reported so far !) on our road were broken into and had the stereos stolen.
The annoying thing was, I could have removed the front cover, but like everyone else, I got out of the habit !
So, if it could happen to me last night, it could be you tonight - please be warned !


Note to DJ Fatty Boy - I've identified another section for the Ponty End - in the middle of the "Real Fans", there is now a member of the Right-Wing, Hang 'em and Flog 'em brigade (furious)

Had mine nicked a couple of months back. Cost me 60 quid for window replaced, stereo wasn't even worth that.

... they got in by ramming a screwdriver into the outer rim of the passenger door lock - amazingly it still works, so won't be claiming on the insurance - just need to find a cheap replacement stereo !

Funny that the three I know of were all different makes of car, but same method of entry !

I wouldn't have thought there was a second hand market in stereos. Cars have been fitted with them for years now, and you can get one from a scapyard for a couple of quid (if you take it out yourself). Now Sat Navs- a different matter.

That was my feeling, but it seems to be wrong.

Now without starting a rascism thread, could it be all these illegal immigrants buying old cars and wanting car stereos that has recreated the market ?
