put my car stereo in my new car (used) replacing the old one, works fine but when i turn the car off it loses its settings like saved radio stations, and always starts my USB and CD right back at the beginning, how can i stop this.?? Any help welcomed. Curbishley is my choice, pay up PC
I'm not exactly an expert but I think its wired up wrong. If memory serves me right you have a load of wires and two of them are for power. One is used to tell the radio when the car is turned on so is connected to the ignition and things (im not very technical) somehow, the other goes basically straight to the battery to keep the settings powered and let you turn the radio on without the engine on.
take your cd player out and there will be a red wire and yellow wire that are joined with bullet connectors swap them round mate .some cars have red to red and yellow to yellow and others have them opposite way round.
