    Anyone know of a decent, price as well as service, valet place around Barnsley. Looking to trade in the car but it needs a good seeing over with the vacuum and wash / waxing.

    Take your pick from the many dozens of drive through car wash places that have suddenly appeared over the last few years.
    Probably about half a dozen between the Stairfoot roundabout and Wombwell.

    Aye, but decent. Guy at work lives in Sunderland and he has a guy do his. Full high-end waxing, every inch of car cleaned, inside and out inc. wheel's and tyres etc.. for £30.
    Would rather pay a local guy doing it for a living rather than his rent in a portacabin.

    Maybe worth trying the one on Wakey Rd.Used to be called Parkins Lot (not sure whether its changed names) near Scorahs chippy.

    Got you - Behind what used to be the IMO car wash. Had bad experience with the IMO many years ago. Got a new car and took it to Dixons (down road) for it's first service. The lazy ******* didn't have time to hand wash it so they took it through the IMO car wash. Scratched it to **** and it was only 3 month old. Cost em the next 3 full services in compensation.

    On Google maps the place is called LMP Cleaning centre. May have to check em out, as long as they don't pre-wash it in the ARC car wash.

    Try the one in the Alhambra shopping centre, at the very bottom of the car park. Always did a good job on mine and reasonable too. Plus you can do your shopping or what you need to do and also get free parking if you have a full valet. I used to be a valeter when I was in England so I knew it was a decent place to go, but sometimes I couldn't be bothered to do my own.
