Carayol transfer update + season ticket sales report

Not sure if anyone's seen this. We spoke to Keith Hill today and this is what he had to say!

Two years? I think they struggle to look more than twelve months in front.

Still 300 season tickets sold since the 'deadline' came and went...

 

why does keith hill think we cant be near the top of the championship i thought he had ambitions or is it he has got no faith in the board and he is getting fed up with them.

 

He could have realized its not as easy as he thought and he is not quite as good as he told us ?
Maybe he is just pissed with the board/person in charge?
Maybe he is just trying not to raise the fans expectations above 21st?
Maybed there are no more good players with Rochdale connections?

Who knows what goes off inside the mind of the enigma that is Keef!!!

 

He said that in an interview with Sky last season too. He was wrong that time , hopefully he will be right this time

 

Hill said last week we will be more than capable competing in this seasons Championship.

I was pretty sure that was the figure on the official site at the time too, but looking back to the article from 30th April on the official site, it says 4,000. My memory might well be playing tricks with me but I could've sworn I saw a higher figure reported somewhere at the time (and the above thread seems to confirm this).

Regardless, assuming it was 4,000 at the time, then given the queues that we had on the last day of sales there must have been a couple of hundred more sold on the last day of the Early Bird, which suggests only about 600 more sold during May.

Who've played for Rochdale (Perkins, Wiseman, Done)? Or am I simply not clever enough to recognise the humour?

Maybe!!

Maybe some of his loan players might have played at Rochdale too. Maybe some of the players he brought in played well against Rochdale and thats why he brought them in.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Keef is getting fed up with the board and the shambolic transfer dealings we have to endure. He will build a team in the summer and it will be picked apart in January for peanuts and our season will fizzle out again.

 

Unless we offer a 12 month contract, And/or a get out fee, but don't go bringing a fantastic footballer to the club, on them terms, because its not what a hand full on here want.

 

I think the point Hill is making

probably to Patrick is that Don is penny pinching and needs to trust him when he identifies targets and push the boat out. Like the kid from Rochdale intimated, Hill is an operator. Good on him.
