REDS boss Andy Ritchie gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow's game at Gillingham. He said: "Matt Carbon is a bit of a worry going into tomorrow's game. He was sore before Saturday and had an injection. He is sore again after playing so we will have to wait until overnight. "The likelihood is that he will not be involved tomorrow but will be ok for Saturday. We do not want it to become a chronic problem when it is something we can treat with rest. "It is a problem with his abductor but is causing him a little pain. Matt managed to get through Saturday ok and I felt he was excellent against Forest. It will be a blow but we do not want to lose him for longer. "Stephen McPhail is still feeling a little tight and he is another where we do not want to lose him for longer. We have games coming up thick and fast so he may be on the bench. "Saturday's result was great but the lads have not had a lot of rest going into the Gillingham match. Training got better by the end of things today and it is up to them to rest up, take on the right drinks and make sure they balance everything out. We have a lot of games coming up in such a short space of time and another long trip to Milton Keynes this weekend. "We have to start climbing up the table and we have to start doing things away from home. We can talk all day about how we can play good attractive football but we have to start winning on the road. "We feel we can go to Gillingham and MK Dons and win. We have to turn that into action now and I think we can get six points. Being realistic four points would be excellent but we want all six".
What a massive surprise. If he's a doubt, prepare to drop him cos when he's injured he's a liability Played well on Sat though..
Hang on, his abductor is causing him to be sore, bum sore? Then a meat injection isn't going to help that, no wonder he's still sore. These abduction/rape games that footy players get upto nowadays is no good for the game.
Means Nicky Wroe starts in midfield with Kay at the back, unless we chuck Hassell straight in. small squad.
RE: Means Nicky Wroe starts in midfield ....and other 2 1st year pros (defenders) signed this year are not good enough apparently. Why sign them?
