Carbon set for return BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie expects to have Matt Carbon back available for Saturday's League One promotion six- pointer at Huddersfield. The big defender was ruled out of last weekend's 0-0 draw with Bournemouth with a groin problem. "He trained yesterday, he will see a specialist today and probably have a jab in it which hopefully will settle it down," Ritchie explained. "He may need an operation at the end of the season." Bobby Hassell also has a medcial appointment. He was having X-rays to check his ribs for stress fractures. Hassell has been out of the team since being stretchered off at Bouremouth on February 28. He is expected to train later this week and could be in the reckoning for a return to the squad heading for Hudders-field. Full back Neil Austin missed training yesterday. He suffered a sore groin in the game against Bournemouth and could have come off at half-time but completed the 90 minutes. He was being checked by Ritchie's medical staff today. The promotion picture could change tonight as third place Brentford play their game in hand at bottom club M K Dons. "I'll be watching for that result," Ritchie confirmed. "MK Dons have put together a couple of results recently, they've always got a chance with Izale McLeod in the team." Brentford boss Martin Allen could bring back ex-Barnsley striker Isaiah Rankin and Sam Sodje. Rankin missed Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Doncaster due to a 'flu bug, while defender Sodje was omitted from the squad of 16 as he arrived at the ground too late. Allen said he would "have a look at the players' code of conduct" before deciding whether to take action against Sodje, who has been one of Brentford's most influential players
