just let me point out imho he was the only player last night who played anything like. Tackles interceptions headers! All these people picking there teams leaving him out but saying Reid. My god Reid was a joke last night, i suppose to be fair to him there was no midfield as Kell and Howard were utter *****.

Ritchie Stop the long ball! it aint gunna work you idiot!

    i agree injured too often

should get shut. just trying to point out Reid and Hassell were terrible. And Austin shouldnt get near the first team for a long time after that he was a woeful. Id play carbon and kay, in the long run id be looking for Reid to get his form back and drop Carbon.

Austin shouldn't get near the first team? You can't point any single player from that bunch last night and say he deserves dropping because we'll be playing the under 16's.

Don't play Hassel at right back again please. I agree with the lad who always has a pop at him playing right back. (10 times better at centre half) Theres young lads like Tonge, Laight, Harbon, Frost?(someone mentioned) probably even more.

Carbon played very well first half. Saved us going a goal down with a magic tackle. To be fair they totally out played us everywhere on the pitch... but we were handling everything at the back ok and clearing everything they threw at us. Until we got that FREE-KICK. We threw Reid and Carbon up and they broke away to score.(bleeding Reid was the last man jogging back)GAME OVER. Fecking rubbish, worst performance i have/will see again.

Thats coz Hassell is a God awful right back!

Has been since the day we signed him, yet Ritchie plays him there last night, and against Port Vale, and both times Hassells been inept and completely out of his depth.

Manager to blame for that decision (referring to someone who mentioned its the players fault once they cross the white line)

I was on about the players attitude and commitment, not their respective positions in the starting XI.

Beggars belief Tina, we were awful by the sounds of it, and to think at 3:30 p.m. I was considering driving up for the game.

Not sure where we can go from here, I mentioned it earlier but Ritchie can't rely on Holden for ideas, we need a proper assistant manager, a new voice in the dressing room, we've dropped into a comfort zone we were never good enough to drop into.

Hassell should never play at right back again, and when will nardiello get his chance? Saturday would be perfect, nim and Hayes up front.

yeh but how many times are we going to put up with austin being so bad, he was the worst by a mile, you cant reward that with another game.

Agree. Lynne and I were discussing similar on Saturday.

We are stuck with it for the time being.

It's heartbreaking really when we have all seen what the team are capable of doing. With the correct motivation and guidance we could do well but it's all 'hoof it and hope' and very poor tactics alongside tinkering and messing abart with the team.

    Pathetic.

I am really disgusted after last night.

Listening to it my blood was boiling.

But if the manager lets players get away with showing no commitment and desire for a whole 60 minutes maybe even longer he's not earning his money. A Shock substitution might have brought the rest of the team up a couple of gears

What gets me is that the Manager doesn't feel 'let down' by the players![IMG][IMG]

The tactics are awful as you say. I was looking at Ritchie last night and he was just stood there. He obviously got no idea how to change things. We need someine to coach the team. This league is so poor we have a chance but no by hiting it long!

I think the manager is letting the players down if these are his tactics!

He's good enough to play at centre half. Right back No, he shouldn't start there again this season. One incident stood out in the first half, he ran at full pace towards there winger who were running at him with the ball...Why? He took it round him with ease and got in a good cross.

That needs changing. Defence for Saturday.

Austin, Hassel, Carbon(if fit) Heckingbottom. Reid deserves to be dropped. He should be emabarrased to be wearing the captain band playing like that. When they broke away for the first goal, he was behide everyone, pratically walking. He wouldn't have stopped them scoring like, but its not the point.
