well they went down at Wolves last night and now cannot get in the PlayOffs.... they are not gonna go down either, BUT they do have the chance to win the FA cup and therefore get in Europe too..... any sane manager is not gonna risk his best players for the remaining 2 games with Wembley round the corner.... we are not gonna face a team anywhere near their strongest last day of season.

    Whichever team Cardiff pick

they'll be busting a gut in order to be included in the Cup Final side.

Not the ones likely to start they wont

Only the fringe players will be doing that - why would the likes of Ledley and Hasselbank risk injury?

I'd rather it was the first choice side and players that just don't want to pick up injuries rather than fringe players who will be fighting to make the squad for the final.

I'm inclined to agree with you, I think players shying out of tackles so as not to get injured is a bit of a myth.

Like our squad did in between cup games?

I figure Jones will have a good idea of his final team, probably won't be too many places up for grabs

Possibly, but I think Howard was guilty of just that, especially in the 2 Sheffield games - though perhaps more to avoid a booking

I think it's nice that we have to clutch at these straws with 2 games left in our 'much improved' season.

Maybe, but I think there's a difference between not making a silly tackle knowing there's a risk of getting booked and not trying to win the ball because you may get injured. Out of the huge amount of tackles made on a Saturday afternoon, it's a miniscule amount that will end in an injury to the tackler or tackled. There's tons of ways you can get injured on a footy pitch besides challenging for the ball.

If they bust their gut that will surely rule them out of the Cup Final.

Bust Guts is a serious thing, operation required, 4 weeks recovery and new set of trousers.

RE: Cardiff will not beat us in the last game...agreed

Think you'll be safe after this weekend tbh and can in join the party at Ninian Park.

We've only got a squad of about 20 players (with a few injuries at the moment) so we will play our best available side.

There's one or two who could maybe get into the side from the fringes, but Dave Jones knows his best side already.

At Wolves on Tuesday we just didn't compete, it was apparently like a training match. No-one wants to get injured.

This is from someone who went:

"Luckily Wolves are not too good or it would have been worse...we were ok up to a point but our defending was woeful and an average Wolves team won easy...no bookings again for us, hardly any tackles either, but to the mugs like me who paid £45...it was not fair on us...it was also not fair on Palace we played like a team in a pre season Friendly and lost easily..reports saying they outplayed us are not true, we actually did alright box to box, but Enkleman was hopeless tonight and he was not alone.

It means something to the people who travel to away games...Dave Jones was not at the match, the rest of us mugs would have been wiser following his example....

These poor efforts had better be offset with a mighty performance at Wembley because at the moment the players are taking the piss out of the travelling fans."

    OUR players

Before the kick off against Cardiff each and every one of our players ought to congratulate their opposite number upon their acheivement in getting to the F A Cup final.

As an afterthought, they might also like to mention what a shame it would be if they missed it through injury.

"Dave Jones was not at the match."

Nothing short of disgraceful. I reckon your travelling fans deserve an apology.

In all fairness to him, he was ill.

He's been keeping away from training this week as well with a chest infection he didn't want to pass on.
