Can Carl get it done or will he become the 9th British boxer this year to screw up in a world title fight? 5/2 looks overpriced to me. He fights all over and brings lots of experience to the table. Plus he's fought a better calibre of fighter. Ward always fights on his doorstep and his inexperience could prove costly. If it goes to points though Froch will lose as we know boxing judges are bent.

IMO (and its a educated boxing opinion) i think Froch will get beaten narrowly on points, the way to beat boxers like Ward is to drag him into a war and get him "into the trenches" and i think we'll see froch do this with some success in the early rounds, but ward is a classy operator and a fast and very fit boxer, i think he will edge it by a round or so. If the fight was in nottingham it would go the other way.

Hope Froch wins but I think he leaves himself open a bit too much ,and Ward may not have the same experience but has been top class in recent fights

I scored it 117-111. Surprised two judges (not even our own English judge) made it as close as 115-113. Froch never looked like winning. Horrible horrible year for British boxing.

Ward kicked his ar53. Froch struggled to connect with him.

If that is true , the referee wants locking up because some ****er was hitting Ward!! Have you seen his face?

Around five rounds where Froch landed less than 12 punches - not good enough when you're in an elite super fight that isn't the heavyweight division

I thought he was very poor last night, but Ward was very good too.
Ward will eat Bute for breakfast, easy fight I think.

There was never a moment in that fight where Froch looked like winning. Ward was way to skillful.

True, but that doesn't make Froch a bad fighter. Ward has done that to everyone in this super 6 series. And I agree with MadMark, Ward would do the same to Bute. Froch and Kessler are both good fighters and Ward has made them look both look sub standard. I though Froch would be able to bully him once he'd slowed a bit, but Ward was able to force Froch back in pretty much every clinch. Khan should watch this tape and see how to fight on the inside, masterclass from Ward.

I agree with all that mate, I thought that it was an excellent fight from Ward, one that I didnt think was in him. Bute is over hyped I think.

I didn't say he was a bad fighter, I actually think he is very good, but he did get his ass kicked. Like you say, masterclass by Ward. I like Froch, always gives it is all and puts on a decent fight after (IMO) being a bit of a poser early on in his career.
