People laughed when he got picked for England. Now Jordan Henderson is one of the first names on the team sheet. Thank God I stopped supporting England during the 2010 World Cup.
It's funny when people "stop supporting" a team but continue to make posts about them trying to make everyone else as negative as them.
It's called wanting attention. It's not enough for you to just not watch England games anymore, you have tell everyone how you're done with supporting England and mention the current players of a team you no longer support.
I'm no big fan of Jordan Henderson but in comparison to Carlton Palmer he's like Iniesta. He was my motm against Slovakia. Rashford was great in glimpses but was wasteful at times and at fault for their goal. They were all ok to be fair, decent without being brilliant, but Henderson led them with his head up and kept trying to drive them forward. All I remember about the graham Taylor side containing Carlton palmer was England kicking off and him immediately lumping it forward. Then continuing to do so. He was effective at what he did (at the time he did it, don't think he'd play in the top division now) in the league but he should never have got near the international team
I never watch the Premier League and see very little of England but from what bits I have seen of Jordan Henderson....there's very little there. I'm guessing by the lack of response to this thread that hemsy's been banned again!
Henderson keeps getting mocked despite him improving a lot from when he first joined Liverpool. He regularly kept Emre Can out of the Liverpool side when both were fit who often gets a game for the world champions. Henderson's not great by any stretch of the imagination but he seems to get more than his fair share of abuse. And to be honest he should be first name on the team sheet, the current competition him & Dier have is Chalobah & Livermore.
You're just like an Arsenal fan, moaning about getting into the Champions League nearly every year. Try being from a country that has never qualified for a World Cup!!
I'm from the Turks and Caicos Islands actually. Moved to England in 2009 and that's when I started supporting them. Stopped in 2010.
Not only that, they could extend and contract independently, so that one leg was about 2 feet long and the other was about 6 feet long. Watching him in midfield was like watching a giraffe having a drink.
Can we ever forget. ? Remember we were 1-0 up , not long left against Wednesday at Oakwell and Palmer wrapped a leg round the ball and smacked the equaliser in for a 1-1 draw. Think it was in the 1990 season.? The roar from their fans on the Kop end was absolutely deafening because they knew as usual the Wendies had got out of jail. Couldn't help feeling we were robbed as up to their , goal we'd played OK.
I can very much understand people who criticise England at the moment given our really poor recent record in tournaments and pretty poor football in recent games. However I don't get how you can stop supporting your own country just because of poor performances. Would you do the same for Barnsley if it got past a certain point - League Two say? You can't tell me you haven't watched a single England game since 2010; or is it just because we have done poorly at tournaments since then that you say that? Fine don't watch games, but you surely can't say you don't want us to succeed in tournaments? So if - as unlikely as it may seem at the moment - we got to a major tournament final, you wouldn't watch; or you wouldn't be delighted if we ever won another tournament? Judging by this post, you've got more interest in England than you do in any other national team
