Missus has forgot to get chicken out of the freezer last night - probably got something to do with that bottle of Prosecco and Sauvignon Blanc. Instead of popping it in bath for a hour or giving it a blast with the blow torch l think it's best we went out somewhere.

Agree with both Fox House and Red Lion. Anywhere except Dodworth "Gluttons' Paradise" Valley. Bon Appetit.

I know Toby Carvery isn't popular on here but I do love it so that would be my recommendation. That and remember to take the chicken out yourself ;)

I've got to admt, I do eat far, far too much there, can never resist piling my plate up. Hubby calls it Toby Carbery.

Seconded. It's an awful place. I'll never go there again.

We've been to the Strafford arms today . Sunday dinner came out within 10 mins of ordering . Bang on snap . Its like what all our mothers used to make on a Sunday without thinking about it . These bloody modern women eh ??

I work with a bloke who lives in Burntwood. It's a long way to go for a Sunday dinner.

Obviously a bit late now but the best carvery is at the Dam Inn in Newmillerdam, 2 for £10, big real Yorkshire pud and big plate and plenty of meat.

You're young so you can eat anything, for now. At my age, if I eat 1 peanut too many, my body stores it in the form of 1kg of blubber, just in case I run out of food one day.
