Cash Customers

I wonder how many people have been put off booking for Wembley because they can't pay cash. I do everything online so it isn't an issue for me personally. However my dad won't give his card details out over the phone or online. I suspect he's not alone among the older generation. There's also the complexities of the the club's ticketing portal that may have beaten some.

 

If you REALLY want to go you'll find a way. Good we've got another thread about tickets on behalf of a fictional old timer that doesn't trust to give out their card details or pay cash to someone else to order them, though.


What other theoretical people can we worry might not have tickets?

Course, the Amish are mistrusting and forbidden from using the internet and as such this farcical ticketing system will see not a single Amish Barnsley fan at Wembley.

 

The only thing stopping me from going is it's an absolute rip off once you factor in flights, match ticket, hotel, etc. Plus Wembley is a horrible soulless stadium these days, genuinely hate it.

I personally feel more sorry for those who prefer to use the barter system. I know one bloke who wanted to trade 3 stacks of firewood for a ticket but can't. Wembley dream ruined.

 

Oh no, no bartering. Was going to herd the goats down to Oakwell tomorrow for tickets and merchandising. Never mind, I'm told they make a nice curry. Only Kidding, oops I 'll get me coat.

You not coming John? I would have thought flights from Germany would be pretty cheap. No budget airlines serve your part of the country?

 

Match ticket, flight, hotel, etc was looking at over £500 last time I checked mate.

I don't blame people not wanting to give their bank details which can easily get into the wrong hands despite data protection laws. However people like that i'm sure will know another Barnsley fan who they can hand over hard cash to so they can purchase a ticket for them on their behalf.

 

Blimey, me and the missus have got two return flights from St Petersburg, match tickets, and a hotel in Amsterdam for under £400! We're staying with a friend in London, which definitely makes a difference, but even so I'm surprised it would cost you as much as that.

You could snort a fair few gram off it to be honest. I've never thought of using it for recreational drug abuse, but you've definitely planted a seed.
