Yesterday I had a fine crop of tight headed minicole cabbages, caulis that were coming on a treat and broccoli looking good for a winter crop.

Nipped out now to cut a cabbage and what do I have?

    Lacework!!!

Overnight the catapillars but have had all their mates round and had a feckin party! Grrrr...

    Sorry to hear that Ali.

Don't go to ASDA, I know they are having a refit but the store looks tacky at the moment.

    Don't worry about the language.

ASDA looks a mess inside at the moment.

I'm fairly sure they've got some in Morrisons as well.

But WHY are the cabbages there and at ASDA not eaten by catapillars?

cos they are sprayed in poison

Now why would I want to eat that?

    exactly...

I've had loads of " home produce " out of the garden this year, 10 times better than any hydroponically grown, force ripened, gm slops anyday. (Y)

My Runners were decimated by the slugs

had some broad beans that survived them though.
Still eating the spuds got one row left :)
