About a month ago I got caught by a mobile camera doing 36mph in a 30mph near the BDGH. A few days later i got a pink notice of intended prosecution asking the name of the driver and licence details. So, these were provided. Yesterday i got another letter saying they were not goin to prosecute this time and that they hoped I had learned my lesson and would drive more carefully, and that the purpose of speed cameras was not to raise money, but to educate drivers. Is this normal, or have the police boobed and they are looking at a way of putting some positive spin on it (I know there are certain protocols they are supposed to follow and wonder if they later realised they had mucked up), or do they let you off on your first offence (been driving 20 years and never had a caution - through luck more than careful driving !)
That is not normal. I worked for the South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership for a brief period. Long enough to know they do not not normally do that. Hundreds of Notices of Intended Prosecution are churned out daily. My guess would be a problem with the accuracy of the calibration? Or perhaps you have friends in high places? Either way think tha sen lucky!!!lol
told you, don't listen to conka, he's talking ******! And being a perfect motorist and never gone over any limit, i know what i'm talking about.. trust me, i'm a doctor, The Doctor (worship)
LOL. No, and no friend in high places (other than a DI mate who i didn't think it was worth contacting)
