I've just ripped a CD and then tried to transfer it onto a music player via the USB port... but I keep getting a message which states "The media is write protected." I've copied loads of CD's previously to my own music player no problem, but this is the first time I've come across this problem... and this (on behalf of a workmate) has happened with a copied CD as well as this original.. does this mean that the tracks are protected so that I can't burn them and create multiple copies, etc, etc... or is there a way around this by unticking one of those ticky box type of things?? anyone got any good ideas?? :S cheers in advance!
Sounds like the player you are transfering to is write protected. does it have a specific programme to transfer the files ??? Do you have to transfer them to folders or just to the root ??? Don't sound like it's your rips though Does the player have a physical switch to lock it, ????
I know what your problem is. I don't know who you've been listening to but you don't want to go ripping them, that'll bugger em up big style. Pff! Birds eh?
Thanks Jax through a bit more thought, I tried using my own USB device and came to the same conclusion after I synched the music to mine no problem. I think there's an accompanying programme that you're supposed to download, there's certainly a cd in the box.. so I've told my friend that and she's going to give it ago... thanks for replying!
RE: I know what your problem is. feel like stamping on 'em today! day 25 is approaching.... quiz tomorra?? you'll be in for a treat! hehe... ff
