How many sideways passes did Perkins and Fox play? It was almost comical at times.

Our seemingly unchangeable formation is based upon two containing/competitive/tracking/defensive (delete as appropriate) midfielders whose footballing instincts are ALWAYS to turn towards their own goal (Perkins) or to play a square pass (Fox).

Yes, Perkins had a couple of decent runs second half, which makes it all the more frustrating because he is capable of doing that but it seems something he is reluctant to do. As for Fox, I remain unconvinced that he adds anything to the team when Etuhu and Dawson are available to do the same job.

As other posters have said, had we taken our chances, today would have been a comfortable win. But this wouldn't have disguised the fact that we have no one in the centre who is capable of creating something or getting on the end of a cross (because that would involve supporting the attack and getting into the box).

So predictable so dull to watch. Poor formation poor selection. Do we really need two defensive midfielders at home to Donny? Frustrating annoying and sad really.
