Brad Abbot is not good enough on today's showing, not mobile enough, and too slow on the ball. We need a replacement for Pearson ASAP.

Mawson and long were all over the place at times today, so that needs addressing sharpish.

Ryan Williams still isn't ready, Fletcher to fill that roll.

Wouldn't bother keeping Wabara, Bree good enough to take over that roll.

Harsh on Abbott - few good blocks in. Gave it away a couple of times but I think he'd iron that out wih a run in the team.

We do need a replacement for Pearson though

Very harsh on Abbott. This is a guy who has barely played any U21 matches or league games at competitive level for over a year. Yeah he made some mistakes but as did some others.

Williams I thought was trying too hard. Just think you're being negative for the sake of it tbh

Sadly Abbott looked out of his depth.

Think we need a midfielder who can hit the ground running so to speak.

agree with most of that, but we must keep wabara. there was alot of poor control and we lost 2nd ball consistently

I've not seem much of Abbott, but the game largely passed him by today. Not saying he's a poor player but he really didn't get into the game.

Class this forum, 1 day it's loans are ****, why are we not giving youth a chance, then when youth get a chance folk are on their back after 1 game! Quite clear people who haven't a clue about football. Give players a chance for **** sake; confidence, match fitness, form, first touch of game all massive factors before you start writing a players ability off. He might not be good enough but at least give players a fair crack.

Regarding Abbot, he looked no better than he did last season when he got a run in the side. Following George Smith to Crawley for a couple of months could do him good.
Unfortunately we need someone in the mould of Pearson to fill that roll, someone to hassle opponents rather than sit off, that was part of the reason we looked good the past two matches, we missed that today big style. That's why i worry about the possible Kilkenny signing, especially if we are going to play him alongside Hourihane, it will be back to tippy tappy backwards sidewards.

And how often did Abbott play last season?
If we gave Abbott the same run of games as we have Pearson he'll grow Into confidence.

This is his first competitive game in ages so course he's going to make mistakes.

According to some, Pearson wasn't good enough but now we need a replacement for him . hypocrisy of the highest order !

The midfield worries me. We have been very lightweight squad wise, knew Pearson was off, Scowan injured and haven't done anything. Abbott has potential but was bypassed today a lot and we have no plan B. Cannot for the life of me understand why we haven't strengthened the centre mid position. Looks like Wabara is off and we will be in the same position with Bree. I'm ok with Bree but once again an option of 1 choice. We are in the transfer window now and simply must strengthen our squad. I'm worried we have are taking a step back squad wise so I hope we see something this week.

Who's said Pearson isn't good enough for us? A lot of us don't think he's as good as some of the hype he gets suggests & that would be backed up by him joining Preston but I don't think anyone's said he isn't good enough for an average league one side

I'm afraid we cannot afford to give Abbott the time to see if he Is good enough - might sound harsh but on today's performance he isn't the answer. We need to look elsewhere.

Said all season that I can't understand the stick Pearson gets from some of our fans. Said to youngun this aft people will see won much Pearson foes today when he's not here. Abbott was very poor, was poor today it was like playing with 10 men

He was better than Conner and Sam, so we must have been playing with 8, no wonder we only drew
