Champions League - Its a fix

How come when Arsenal had to qualify for the champions league they get put in Pot 1.

Surely the Champions of a nation like France should be given preferential treatment over someone who finished fourth in the UK

this is not in the spirit of the game.

Oh I forgot It's all about money.


Any team who has to qualify should not be in the top seeds, and whilst I agree that teams from the same nation shouldn't play each other in the group stage they shouldn't be given any other preferential treatment than that.

Bayern Munich are in pot one but the Bundesliga champions are in pot four!!

They had to qualify too.

The English league is a lot stronger than the French league, hence the seedings to account for that.

By your reckoning Rangers should be seeded higher than Liverpool or Chelsea just because they are champions - don't go on where ya finish it's all about quality.

Do you really think messers Platini & Blatter would look after English sides?

Yes I do, assuming Rangers didn't have to qualify.

Otherwise it's all about money and it becomes deisgned to have the same teams winning all the time.

The premiership is now as boring as Scottish Football, and Formula One.

Now UEFA seem intent on making the Champions League as boring too.


Thank god for relegation dog fights in the championship. I don't know how ManChelsnalpool fans bear the boredom at the top of the prem.
