A lot of games which could go either way. I'd expect Liverpool to win though, unfortunately. I need a CSKA Moscow win for personal reasons!
Stubborn and difficult to beat, but Bayern took two of their better players in the summer. I think Liverpool will have enough to get past them
Unfortunately I agree. Their manager is only 29(?) and they went on an unbelievable unbeaten run last season to qualify for the CL.
Hoffenheim's home record is incredible. They rarely drop points there in the league. I've gone for them and Qarabag from Azerbaijan Edit: The last time Hoffenheim lost at home in any competition was the final game of the 15/16 season. That only includes 6 draws, largely against the big teams (although they did beat Bayern). Liverpool have won 4 or 5 on the bounce away but were massively inconsistent last year. They'll be missing Coutinho and Lallana too.
Bundesliga doesn't begin until this weekend though and they've lost 2 of their bigger/better players. They will be a different kettle of fish last season, but their coach is impressive and will go on to bigger and better things than Hoffenheim.
Although the story behind Hoffenheim and their success is a bit different to most. An ex player/fan who retired early from the game created SAP and through his wealth has got his boyhood club in to the top flight without turning in to a Leipzig type franchise.
We'll see. As I say you could make the same argument with Liverpool who'll be without Coutinho and Lallana. Lallana was a big player for them last season, and I don't think we'll see the best from Liverpool until he returns.
A few of the bigger teams like Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach had awful seasons last season, which opened the door for the likes of FC Köln, SC Freiburg(already eliminated) and Hoffenheim to complete in Europe this season. I hope you're right and they do knock out Liverpool, I love seeing Liverpool lose!
Liverpool only drew away at Watford on Saturday due to a late equalizer. They could have had one eye on this match though.
I'd actually looked at their form before they played at the weekend which is why I omitted there game with Watford.
