    Did you know Barnsley played Celtic at Celtic Park in 1912 and became the first English team not to be beaten when drawing 1-1 in a competition known as Champions of the world.I thought I knew my stuff when it came to BFC but that's the first time I'd heard of that.

    would be awesome IF

    a picture could be found in relation to that.... bearing in mind we also won the FA Cup that year.... I am thinking a Tee/sweat Shirt here.

    Also if it could be researched and the details found, then maybe it could be brought to the attention of the Football world ... well at least in the Radio Sheffield hinterland. It would annoy pants off the DeeDahs... just like 1966 pisses off the Jocks/Taffs.

    OH and Hey we could even use the Rock Anthem by Queen " We Are The Champions" as our entry song.... They actually do sing ..

    Our first ever TEAM strip included a numbering system on the front. This is (and still to be proved otherwise) the first instance of a numbered strip in the footballing world.

    If only we'd patented it.

    I reckoned BFC could really make summat of this.... its novelty it will totally.... and I mean TOTALLY piss the DEEHDAHS off to **** too.

    think of it the only ever team in Yorkshire to have WORLD DOMINATION

    If it was a draw why did they not have a replay to see who the champions of the world really were?
