Instead of recycling the same old managers is it time for a change of direction.Dougie Freeman did a great job at Palace with his mentor Lennie Lawrence. Maybe young ideas with experience in the background is the way to gver the years we've had great success with player managers I don't think that would work at this moment in time but I feel fresh ideas with an old head could be the way forward. Before I get reminded Terry Butcher was and still is my choice based on what he has achieved at Inverness I don't think he falls into the Megson,Brown,Blackwell merry go round.Thoughts and maybe names please.
I agree. I'm 38. Debbie McGee, my lovely assistant, is 54 & has a wealth of experience. I have the ideas, she has the grounded approach. It will work. I also have no idea how to get to Rochdale, which should basically get me the job immediately. #TFPforBFC
There isn't a lot of experienced managers who would want to work as a number two at a small championship club. As for a young manager, continuing the trend that Palace used with freedman would for me be a Steve Agnew type boss. Obviously from there, he would have to bring the experienced manager on his own accord.
Our three most successful managers in the last 30 years. All had little or no management experience, and two wer promoted from within.
Only one thing for it then...... Let Sir Bobby have the job and get Eric Winstanley back as part of the setup!! Sorted!
