Blimey, changing your phone and your number and switching your apps and exchange and email accounts and having to hunt round for long forgotten passwords... Mourning various things that won't morph with you over into the next epoch. Lord knows how bad it would be if I'd switched to being an android. Or whatever. And all this because the old battery was conked. Can't see owt on the new one i'm going to be thankful for. S'abit sharper I suppose. But otherwise I'm being invited to leave the Brave New World behind. Which is fine.
Did you use iCloud when changing the phone? Makes it so easy. But yeah, stuck with iPhone forever now haha
Depends on how much space you have in your i-cloud apparently. So it wasn't easy cos it told me I hadn't enough back up space and perhaps I needed to get some. At my expense.
Changing battery on iPhone is piss easy. Send me your old phone if you don’t want it lol. I’ll change battery and sell it Same with screens on any iPhone after 4s
I wouldn't have anything else mate. I've had a galaxy alpha for over 2 years now. Rather than resisting the urge to have a new phone when my contract ended, I went sim only, stuck in a new battery off eBay very cheaply and saved myself hundreds.
Absolutely detest android phones, would never have another. Ill be going sim only with my iphone 7 when contract is up next year though. Think most makes of phones are at a stage now where they are hardly any different other than appearance and a few gimmicks. Kids have our old iphone 6 and 6s so we can start saving some cash now. screen on iphones are easy to change diy so this has saved me a fortune with my son who seems to break it every other month some how
I went sim only with an iPhone 4S when it's contract was up. I finally replaced it with an iPhone 7 a few months ago but I just bought the phone and switched the sim. Over 2 years that works out over £200 cheaper than buying a new one with a similar contract.
Do you get the screen with the digitizer so you can just swap the whole thing or do you just swap the glass? Need to do mine. Bought the glass not realising it was a bit more involved... What procedure do you follow if doing glass only? Heat up the glue and separate then put new one on?
You buy the lot. Digitiser and lcd assembley. I broke my iPhone 7 screen after about a month and screens were 200+. Quid so I was gonna do the glass only way but decided to wait for price of screens to come down. I usually buy screen and digitiser only and switch the frame and camera and home button over as its not as fiddly since iPhone 5s. But you can buy them with camera and home button installed for a little extra. Although finger print touch will only work with the original home button so you have to switch that over anyway if you want it to work.
Don’t know if it will effect owt but the latest software download iOS 11.03 claims to have bug fixes for problems caused by unofficial screen fixes and non-apple fitted parts.
