Created by the board who have lost their bottle and despite the conspiracy theories, I gave not been given a good reason why the manager was sacked. Anyone on here think Ben is coated in Teflon?
He's coated in one thing and one thing only ********. We hired a second rate agent and got a third rate administrator.
Ben's an employee not an employer. He follows the remit from above. if a scoreboard doesn't get installed it's because he doesn't get the money for it. If Danny gets sacked he faces the camera and says why. If he doesn't feel comfortable doing that he finds another job like any other employee of a business.
Is having a worse win percentage than David Flitcroft despite spending half of that time in the division lower a valid reason? I can't for the life of me understand a) why that isn't a valid reason and b) why that isn't the reason they used rather than the 'business' ********?
Because he had to overhaul the entire squad, or can't you understand that doest just happen overnight?
Teflon Cryne. You seriously think Ben Mansford had the final say, or indeed the first say in sacking Danny?
When he took over he was tasked with trying to keep us in the championship, a hard job we all know, but the majority of us thought, that under danny's guidance, even if we did go down it would be with one hell of a fight. Instead after a raft of loan players who clearly didn't want to be here, plus frimpong, we ended up poorer than when he arrived and went down with a whimper. We went into this season however full of optimism, we could finally get rid of the dead wood and start again, the kids would finally get there chance and funds would be provided to subsidies the squad, the kind of opportunity a lot of manager's would probably relish. Granted because of player's not leaving quick enough we were slow to get going and this can be used as the excuse for the slow start we made. However 6 months later and no progress has been made, in fact we appear to have gone backwards. Too many player's not good enough or cant be bothered, football than can be described as turgid as best and a manager who appears to have forgotten how to manage, a guy who's only plan appears to be throw some new players in the mix once a month and hope it work's. I think there's enough reason's there for the decision made tbh. I wasn't in the wilson out camp, i expected him to be here next season and was happy with that scenario. I am not however desperately searching for the samaritans number now he has gone and wont be burning my season ticket renewal when it arrives. I will once more renew and stroll down to oakwell next august hoping, like every season, that this season will be better than last. You reds
Does that explain why it had to happen now and why Hutchings also had to go. A good reason would be that we have a better plan. A bloke who can do a better job. Not a knee jerk reaction to a few defeats. Remaining in this division is now our target for this year.
It's weird how many managers have been sacked and not one of them have come out and said anything. Gagging orders?
It's just the way it is in modern football. It's a shame, I'd love to hear from some managers that have left clubs. Imagine what Pardew could say about Mike Ashley
Aye. 2 sides to every story etc. Shame we never get to hear the managers side. Could put a lot of doubt to bed (or not as the case may be)
