Dont know if hes had a mention today but i thought he was exceptional. Ran his socks off, scored a good goal and a brilliant flick through to Dike for the 2nd goal.

Agreed, I don't understand some of the criticism he gets. Runs his blood to watter,

Doesn’t score enough goals,in my opinion he’s had a poor season so far.Glad he scored today and we won.He needs to be more consistent.

I would never knock his effort and he has phenomenal levels of fitness. Just needs to add goals.

Fair do's but his work rate up front with the way we play, gets him a place for me.

He suits the two big lads playing up front to feed off definitely

He was great today, he really was. I'm a big critic of his but credit where it's due: I wouldn't have subbed him, he was still performing very well

I’d fully expect anyone who pulls the red shirt on to work hard and run till they drop.Fitness levels of this team is unreal.

Played well today. Ive never questioned his commitment or hard work. He's just lacked quality this year. Great option but i do think Morris, Woodrow and Dike are the main front 3.

I like Chaplin. Runs himself into the ground for us every game.

Last season he was up top with Brown so was getting into better positions and scoring more. This season he’s doing a lot of work on the left side of the attack and not getting the same opportunities.

His goal return is disappointing this season but I think he offers a lot to the team.

Hopefully his goal will give him the conference to score a few more.

Massive credit to him for today, I've hammered him on here and said he's not good enough at this level so only right that I praise the lad for a decent performance and goal. As others have stated though he's got to start adding more goals to his game! Hope you prove me wrong fella!

I think VI subs players at or around the hour mark to get fresh legs on for the press and with an eye on the next game. I don’t think how they’re playing has much to do with it TBH.

I don’t get the full on criticism in some circles . He runs his blood to watter. Doesn’t score as many goals as I would like at the mo. But neither does Woodrow in outfield play. So long as the team get goals that’s the main thing.
I suspect Cauley was rested from the start today. It turned out to be a good move. VI has said recently he thought Cauley may need a break. He’s also run his blood to water since he came back from injury. Looks like we are much better set up on the striker front of late. Rotation the key.

Always gives 100% and today most things he did payed off. I sometimes wish he would take more time on the ball to find a red shirt instead of trying one touch flicks or lay offs - although if VI has told him to do that, I could hardly criticise him for it.

I've always rated him, he does the graft and assists, it's just lack of goals this season from him. He deserved his goal today.

I hope Woodrow can start scoring again soon. I like Woodrow up front and just think he should start every game. I'd rotate the other strikers. There shouldn't be any debate Woodrow is our best striker.

He’s only gone 2 league games without a goal. And he only played 30 mins for one of those.

Think he’ll replace Dike on Wednesday and benefit from Morris starting

I agree, but he needs a rest every now and then. Like yesterday. I honestly thought Val had chalked naff on the game yesterday, getting the squad ready for 3 home games out of the next 4. What do I know? In Val we trust
