Rangers hope Barnsley will double their original offer and meet the £500,000 asking price for midfielder Charlie Adam. (Daily Mail)

    Brian Howard replacement right there.

My mates a blackpool fan and rates him very highly. rumoured to be on £10k a week though. would be our highest earner if we were to get him.
left footer, decent set piece taker - we sooo need that.

think we should go after Surman if we dont get him.

Surman would be twice the cost, at the very least.

Rather see us spend that kind of money on a striker or even a winger. Charlie Adam would be a good signing though, imo.

I wouldn't hold my breath on getting a replacement for Howard as I'm still waiting for Shipperly's replacement.....!!!!!!

Would be a very good signing

Think there will be a lot of competition after his performances for Blackpool though.

    It's because

    He's a junkie.

Not what we need playing for our club.

    It is up here

Him and Alan Gow can often be found snorting magical powder.

He regularly partakes in taking cocaine

Which is also the reason Alan Gow, his partner in crime, failed a medical at Wolves last season.

Surely if that was true, he'd be tested and banned. And wouldn't he have failed the medical at Blackpool?

Mick McCarthy asked him to leave, and he ended up going to Norwich(on loan I think)?

He would only have been banned if Wolves had reported him.

As for Charlie Adam, maybe he found an ounce of a brain cell and decided to leave the white stuff alone before his medical at Blackpool.

Either way, I wouldn't want that type of person anywhere near my football club.

Do you think other footballers don't?

They have to spend their over inflated salaries on something

Maybe he was a silly boy once,

we all have been (not saying we've all took cocaine of course) and that started the rumour. Or maybe it was just a rumour started designed to tarnish his reputation.

I don't think professional footballers can get away with being "junkies" though.
