http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/8121542.stm Been talking to them after he was left out of the Emirates cup squad. For ****'s sake are we going to make a move for him or what?! :'(
having a player on loan for a while..... It gives you strength in negotiating later...... if the loan goes well (and it must do if you want to sign him) then the player has already made friends and enjoyed his football..... That is why we are in with a shout for Hammill..... if we just rocked up cold for a Liverpool player, we'd be given the 'what? Baaaaaarnsley' treatment. There may be a medium term strategy to be worked here, like, target Moyes, Rafa, Ferg etc to put out good young players to us... Didn't Anderson come on loan first...
good point, mate- something that hasn't been mentioned much here in discussing the negotiating is that Adam has had Blackpool sold to him already in his loan spell in the same way that getting Hammill will be a 'coup' for us. As far as I heard though, we haven't even had a bid accepted yet, so I don't know how we are supposed to be in the fight to sign him.
davey said he hadn,t gone back with another bid yet unless he knows something we don,t,from daveys talk i got the impression we would go back with another bid, didn,t he say he would be great for us!
RE: davey said he hadn,t gone back with another bid yet If we're not even prepared to try and fend off the mighty Blackpool in a bidding war then we deserve all we get. Seems like just the type of midfielder we need to replace Howard, left footed, has a few goals in him and good with set pieces. To just sit back and watch him join one of our relegation rivals is nothing short of pathetic IMHO. Unless of course we are preparing a 12th hour bid but it doesn't seem that way.
He's signed for them - That's another one down the swanny! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...its-Rangers-Championship-return.html?ITO=1490 :'( :'( :'( Well done Simon, your pratting about and leaving it till the last minute has worked wonder's!
RE: He's signed for them - That's another one down the swanny! Is it SD's fault or has he just not been given the funds? Either way serious questions now need to be asked about the ambition of those in charge at this club. 500k Nyatanga, not even 21 yet, 500k Adam, 23 years old. Quality players with their best years still ahead of them could have been snapped up for 1m, nothing in today's market, the Muller + Birmingham parachute money would have bought them. Not good enough BFC.
RE: He's signed for them - That's another one down the swanny! He has just got 600k from the Muller transfer, 500k for a player of his ability was a steal of a price. Why were we not prepared to stretch to 500k? Is there a lack of funds at BFC or doesn't Cryne trust Davey in the market no more? Question's need to be answerd, really pissed off. He'd have been a cracking signing and i'm sure we'd have beated Blackpool to his signature if we attempted to pay the 500k.
See that not speaking about transfers till they are signed and sealed yet breaking this choice when we miss out on them rears its head once more. Gotta say this must have been one of the worst pre-seasons for transfer news ever.
RE: He's signed for them - That's another one down the swanny! If we can't pay 500k then we're either in financial trouble or we lack ambition. I can see no reason why we'd be short on funds so I must suspect the latter. That meeting tomorrow should be interesting.
Let's hope so. I'd like nothing more than to eat my words. Not optimistic though, doesn't sound like we've even made a 2nd bid.
daveys hands are tied its not his money hes spendinf ,pc as been a good buiseness man in the past trust the experts to judge when its ur half a million ur splashing out,i like the look of the big lad and with money as tight as it is let blackpool gamble on the 2 goal hitman from midfield
