Just seen an awful breaking news story

A French Satirical Mag has been stormed by masked gunmen who have murdered 11 and wounded another 10

almost certainly "Islamic" fundamentalists who have taken exception to the fact that it has not excluded them from its targets

    Sad day

Terrible. The war on terror has never been greater than it is today. Makes you wonder how things are gonna pan out..

In the short term more power for Le Pen, the continuing rise of the right and more division. In the long term . . . well, I'm glad I live in the middle of nowhere and nowhere near Paris.

One must not say anything against the all conquering islamification of Europe. Another generation and it will be arses in the air of Friday, no booze and a burka for every woman. Why. Because we are governed by a liberal elite that will ignore the facts until they happen. The news media in this country are more keen to show the tits of celebrities, the ranting of Brand and his ilk, than cover what is really happening. Ask Danny Lockwood of the Dewsbury Reporter, who now has to live in York due to threats to himself and his familily from the participants of the religion of peace.

As espoused by greater folk than me across Twitter right now, every newspaper in the free world should print the Charlie Hebdo cartoons on their front pages tomorrow. Let's stop phucking abart.

It's getting quite frightening isn't it. First we had a major film studio basically threatened not to release a film because some people didn't care for the subject matter (for what it's worth, I thought it a tad tasteless, but my protest was simply going to be not watching it, rather than threatening the lives of anyone who goes to a theatre to see it!) and now a massacre of journalists and humourists because some people didn't care for the joke. So much for the freedom of speech, eh?

Where is this going to end? I fear that we're going to see an almighty conflict at some point in my lifetime, certainly by the time my kids are my age the world will look very different and I imagine that certain areas of the world are going to be no go zones, due to the after effects of conflict. The first sniff that some of these idiots may actually have WMDs and it's going to be goodbye middle east. They can only provoke the super powers so far and look what happened whenthey pretended they had WMDs.

I just can't work out what they want. If the kids are really playing up and you want an easy life you will occasionally just give them what they want. But what do these people want? How do you begin to negotiate with people who just want to kill In the name of what they think their religion stands for? What they have just done in France is absolutely appalling. It is going to take a brave company now to ever make a public stand that may be taken the wrong way and I imagine Sony Pictures are currently hiring extra security.

Absolutely frightening. Far, far more frightening that the early 80s when we all stupidly thought that America and Russia would start throwing nuclear bombs at each other. God* help us if some of these idiots ever get hold of a nuclear bomb.

*see, these religious fundamentalists have even got me asking for help from someone that doesn't even exist!

Feels a strange one this ........ I got to the office this morning, checked all my usual sites, FB, Twitter, BBS, Flickr etc .......... always check the BBC news page and flick through to see if there is anything interesting. I normally skip anything that looks too 'arty' but read a well-written piece this morning. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-30694811

Then lo-and-behold, next time I check the breaking news it is focussed on France again. Awful news, tragic story. The world really is on the brink of turmoil.

    #JeSuisCharlie ........ as they say.

When the Monty Python team released 'Life of Brian' there was much tutting and head shaking by some of the religious establishment. There was even the now famous tv debate between Cleese and Palin defending LOB and Malcolm Mudggeridge and the Bishop of Southwark taking the opposite view. It got a little heated but that was about it.

Role forward 35 years and replace the humorous skit at Christianity with one of a similar nature relating to Islam. I dread to think what the consequences would be at the hands of the fundamentalists for the authors of such a piece.

Choudray is doing the rounds on social media.apparently he's used twitter this morning saying freedom of speech doesnt extend to critiques of mohammed,so it doesnt leave much to the immagination as to what would happen has the life of brian been about islam.

Massacred to for making fun of someone who claimed to be the messenger of someone who doesn't exist.

No idea what the solution to that is.
