Just signed for my second club Worksop Town. He joined the Reds at age 10 and came through the ranks and made a first team debut against Tranmere I think. Released last year anyone remember him. He looks a good player in the friendlies. Only a young lad.

Had a few bad injuries already in his early career, definitely a player in there I would say. It will be good for him to hopefully stay injury free and get some games under his belt.

Be good if he can work his way to the Football League. Non league is stronger than it's ever been and dropping in to it doesn't mean your chance has gone.

Completely agree mate. There's some real talent in non-league these days especially.

I liked Winfield, but as said above injury did seem to set him back. Isn't he relatively versatile too? Played DM, CM & left back for us at various ages didn't he?

He has already scored two cracking goals from left back. It was technically 3 but he passed back to the goalkeeper who wasn’t there! talented lad and only 22 - I hope he stays injury free.

At 22 if you're not playing first team football regularly wherever you are it's time to move on.. or you'll going to get moved on. It's the law of the football jungle, the conveyor belt system of the the academys.. got to make room for the next lot coming through. Good luck to the lad.. but how many make it out of every 10 academy products to play say 50 first team games..
