Anyone know the cheapest place to buy return train ticket, with coming back the next day? A few of us are hoping to go down on a train and then book somewhere for a overnight stay in the capital. Cheapest return so far is about 39 quid which seems a lot. Thanks.

39 quid return is pretty fair to be honest, the longer you leave it the less chance of you getting the cheapest ticket though as they have only so many of each type,i would concur with what jimmy jazz as said, it can sometimes work out cheaper to buy 2 singles but the same rule applies about getting them a.s.a.p

Going to have to look for a cheap room as well for down there too. 40 quid doesn't seem too bad to get there for 1 o clock from 25 past seven.

Works out about the same when I come from Huddersfield mate. Probably all come to 150 for match ticket, hotel, train ticket and beer money.

Planning to go see that after Christmas

Did you see the programme on BBC2 - amazing! Didn't realise the extent of the site and that they've only uncovered a very small area of it.

    Going To Look Into...........

maybe getting a rental car and having a mate drive down haha. There's a place in Huddersfield and I could see us in a Ford Ka for 81 quid for the weekend. Work out way cheaper and we don't have to think about train delays (just road works).

    RE: £50 a point

So true and then the night around London with another three mates would result in a hangover and spending the return trip feeling rather unwell and knackered :D :D :D Idealy there would be a hotel near the ground for a B&B or just a bed, so that we can drop off a bag of stuff in there before the game.

I'm hoping to go down and see it. I also want to see the King Tut exhibition too though.

The Tut-ankh-amun one is worth it, saw it in Philadelphia last month, some amazing pieces, just a shame that the death mask isn't in the exhibition as the Egyptians won't let it leave the country.
