When the Millwall away match was called off a few seasons ago, they gave away the original programme free if you bought the programme for the re-arranged fixture. If same happens with Charlton, that person has just wasted £26.55!
When the match is played it is vey likely the original programme will be for sale with an up to date cover. And what is the point of having a programme for a match that didn't taker place? I agree a waste of £26.55.
Decent cash to be made from postponed game programmes. Couple of years ago I bought some from Charlton's online clubshop of their postponed home game against Rochdale the season they came into the championship. Yes I know what ya thinking Charlton had an home game postponed. Anyway I sold a few from between 12-16 quid each. Still got two i've not tried to sell since.
Sometimes an additional 'cover' is stapled over the original, the 'new' cover having the date and kick-off time printed on it.
I'm not sure that this has happened for a very long time. It certainly happened in the seventies and early 80s, but I don't think I've got any more recent than that. Then again, there aren't as many postponed games nowadays.
