    <span class="written_by">Written by Mark Stokes on Friday 31st July 2009</span></p> <p class="editorial"> With everything having been agreed with Charlton and Andy Gray weeks ago, Simon Davey has been left frustrated because of takeover talks at The Valley. </p><span class="editorial">Charlton Athletic are involved in a possible takeover with several interested parties including a group of investors represented by their former chief executive Peter Varney and this has led to the delay in getting the transfer pushed through.

    <span class="editorial"> Until the takeover is sorted out it means that Barnsley will have to wait if they want to get their man.

    <span class="editorial">With no definite timescale it could mean that Andy Gray will not be at Oakwell in time for the start of the season which might make Simon Davey look elsewhere if he feels the delay will be too long. <hr /></span></p></span></p></span>

    This take over as been nearly completed since may. I think Ive read recent that it was nearly complete 2 days after season ended.

    Wouldn't have been impressed myself...

    He's slow, a bit of a clogger and his touch is absolutely rotten. Rangers fans can't stand him and also can't wait to get shut. He came on as a sub in the Scottish Cup Final in the last few minutes and was shoved up front, apparently everyone in the ground was rolling about laughing their tits off.

    No better than what we've got. In my opinion.
