http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/football/charlton/4533550.Charlton_tell_Tykes_to_up_Gray_bid/ What the hell? Davey said everything was agreed with club, player and agent so what seems to be the problem now? Is 600k not enough for a player who was injured most of last season either? ( **** it Barnsley, pull the plug on it - if a club in money worries doesn't want £600,000 for one of there player's then why bother?
Parkinson seriously gone down in my estimation.... Gray has had enough problems with his own injury and his wife's serious illness. I think he could do without a mercenary dicing with his professional career, when he seems to want a move back north. I always thought Parkinson was a good people manager - obviously not. Just another mercenary with no thought for his charges.
thats weird cos at the 'meeting' on monday said everything was agreed but waiting for the takeover and transfer embargo lifting, he even said he had spoke to Phil Parkinson 20 mins before the meeting who assured him everything was fine and going through.
Forget Gray, use whatever money there is to entice Adam Hammill back to Oakwell. Boggy and Hume will score plenty, and Macken and Odejayi are good enough back ups if needed. Also, give the young uns a chance, Noble-Lazarus, Adam, Potter and Butterfield are good enough for first team.
Simon Davey's desire to bring Adam Hammill permanently to Oakwell since the last day of the season has moved a step closer with Liverpool accepting an offer for his signature. Barnsley manager Simon Davey admitted that there was another club in for his services, but is confident he can persuade the Liverpool that his future lies at Barnsley. "Adam was loved by our supporters last season and the coaching staff really enjoyed working with him. I am confident we can convince him to come here.
