Never been before, looks like a right pita to get at. As I'm in Kettering, most London trips mean parking at Stanmore and tubing it in from there. But this is sarf of the river so looks like across to Cambridge and down the M11, but even then the rail network doesn't look easy access. Do I just drive straight to Charlton, whats parking in the area like, any London tykes got any ideas, Cheers all......
current plan.... Off M11 and get tube at Woodford along Central line to Stratford. Change onto Jubilee line to North Greenwich, then bus/taxi/walk to the Valley (how far is that). Sound like a plan? or drive straight there?
You can drive there parking is possible but... There is limited street parking as long as you are early enough - but a lot of it has a 2 hour restriction which is a pain think I parked about 10 mins from the ground last year. Probably getting the train this time though as its a real pain to actually get there. I think you can walk from the Dome stop on the Jubilee line probably a mile or so but I think there are also busses go from there to the ground
Not that tricky. I would suggest. Stanmore jubilee line to london bridge then train to charlton direct. Or first capital connect from luton airport to london bridge direct and same
It's about an hour stanmore to charlton tube then train Wouldn't drive round will be a real ball ache
We parked at a little industrial unit last year close to the ground. Absolute nightmare getting out tho- we were only at Blackwall Tunnel by 7pm. We're stopping over this time - leaving car at hotel in Docklands area and then getting tube/bus.
