i think evry1 should lay off the barnsley fc chavs as they are often the only ones that make any noise and get behind the team at matches. If there were no chavs at barnsley the ground would be near enough silent (H)

How come shortened words take longer to read?

 

It could be because

They are either not real words or, sometimes, real words used in the wrong context & it takes your brain time to work out what the hell is being said!
